Issue/Introduction
The upgrade process from version 31.x to a higher release may get stuck due to a precheck error such as a missing backup requirement or another issue without displaying the “Suppress Warning” option in the UI.
Ideally, the UI should display the “Suppress Warning” option immediately after the precheck error appears.
Environment
Avi Load Balancer
Affected Versions: 31.1.x,31.2.x
Cause
The “Suppress Warning” option is intentionally not available after a page refresh, as the UI provides only a limited time window to act in order to prevent later pre-check inconsistencies.
Resolution
Once the upgrade is initiated from the UI, the page must not be refreshed during the pre-check process, as doing so will interrupt the operation.
Opening the upgrade page in a duplicate tab also triggers a refresh, causing the upgrade progress status to disappear.
To ensure the option appears, keep the original page open without performing any refresh until the pre-check process completes, only then “Suppress Warning” button be visible under the Recent Actions section.
A note or warning message will be added in future releases advising users not to refresh the page while the precheck is in progress.
