Issue/Introduction

What is the recommended shutdown sequence for the Sysview for Db2 for z/OS (IDB2) address spaces, ssidIDB2, IDB2PC, and then IDB2US.

 

Resolution

The order of address space startup is as follows: 

1. VTAM 
2. Db2
3. GSS
4. Xmanager
5. PC (optional) 
6. IDB2 Data Collector

Shutdown would be reverse order. The IDB2 Data Collector may hang if it
cannot complete the cleanup process because a user or batch job is still 
connected to Sysview for Db2.
