Issue/Introduction

Even if you try to log in to the vSphere Client using an IP address, the URL on the login screen is an FQDN.

Cause

This is expected behavior. The login screen uses the PNID of the vCenter Server in the URL.

Resolution

You can change the URL to an IP address by redeploying vCenter Server using the PNID.
