Issue/Introduction

  • You're attempting to remove/delete unused/empty clusters from vCenter Server Interface
  • The attempt fails with the following error message:
    The operation is not allowed in the current state. Cannot connect to vSAN management service to determine if cluster <cluster name> is acting as a remote vSAN client or server. Please restart vSAN management service and retry.

Corruption can occur in installer package located at /etc/vmware/vsphere-ui/vc-packages/vsphere-client-serenity/
