Issue/Introduction

We have enabled Online Database Backup (SSdb) on daily basis, today we noticed that the SSdb backup file showing only on the primary server it is not showing on the secondary landscape server.

Environment

DX NetOps Spectrum: Any version

Resolution

In a Fault-Tolerant environment, the Online Database Backup saves the backup file only on the active SpectroSERVER host.

If the active SpectroSERVER is the primary server, the backup file will be saved on the primary server. The backup file is then transferred to the secondary server as a temporary file, the secondary server is stopped (if running), the SSdb database is loaded onto the secondary server, and the secondary server is started. Note that the transferred SSdb file is not saved in the SS-DB-Backup folder on the secondary server.

If the active SpectroSERVER is the secondary server, the backup file will be saved on the secondary server, in the SS-DB-Backup folder. Note that the backup file is not synchronized with the primary server.
