Issue/Introduction

Cause

The loss of tunnels and VRF configurations on the NSX Edge nodes after reboot was caused by a corruption or inconsistency in the Edge node's configuration state or provisioning metadata which prevented the NSX dataplane from correctly loading and initializing the logical router (VRF) configurations. This resulted in the dataplane operating without its intended routing context, leading to tunnel failures and the absence of VRFs.

Resolution

Redeploy the new Edge Node & replace the problematic Edge Node using the prescribed NSX Edge replacement procedure.
