Discovery error for net-snmp device

Issue/Introduction

• PM is using default public community while discovery instead of configured community in the respective snmp-profile.

• Even quick device discovery does not honor community configured for discovery, PM is using default public community for discovery here as well.

Environment

All supported releases of Performance Management

Cause

This is due to DA/DC out of sync issue, a network glitch between the DA and DC so that the manual change of the device's snmp profile in DA was not sync'ed down to the DC and therefore the DC kept using the wrong profile.

Resolution

The only way to resync DA/DC is to restart the DC.

NOTE:

If the device already has the correct profile, there is no need to re-assign correct snmp-profile to the device after the DC restart.
