Issue/Introduction

  • vSphere Supervior cluster upgrade is stuck in Configuring state with error "Configured Load Balancer fronting the kubernetes API Server Configuration error (since YYYY-MM-DD:T:HH:MM:SS) Unable to connect to HAProxy (https://<HAPROXY LB IP>:5556/v2/cluster) from control plane VM #########################  Error: Get "https://<HAPROXY LB IP>:5556/v2/cluster": dial tcp <HAPROXY LB IP>:5556: : connect: no route to host"




  • HAProxy Load Balancer Controller Endpoint IP, listed under 'vCenter → Workload Management → Supervisor → Configure → Network', is unreachable from the Supervisor Control Plane node.

vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS)

Cause

This issue is caused due to connectivity failure between supervisor control plane node and HA proxy management network.

Resolution

The connectivity issue from Supervisor control plane to HA proxy management network needs to be resolved. Refer to HA Proxy support  for assistance.
