"Image Management" Catalog Missing Under Lifecycle Management in VCF

Issue/Introduction

• The environment is a VXrail deployment where cluster management is handled using a custom image.

• the Image Management option is not visible under Lifecycle Management.

Environment

VCF 5.2.2 on VxRail 8.0.361

Resolution

There is no resolution to this issue currently. The engineering team is aware of this and required fix will be implemented in future releases.

Workaround:

1. Take a snapshot on the SDDC manager.
2. Take a backup of the file feature.properties using:
   • cp /opt/vmware/vcf/lcm/lcm-app/conf/feature.properties /home/vcf/feature.properties.bak
3. Modify the feature.lcm.custom.iso.management value that is by default false to true
   • vi /opt/vmware/vcf/lcm/lcm-app/conf/feature.properties
4. Post modified excerpt should look like this:

   #Feature flag for Custom ISO
feature.lcm.custom.iso.management=true

5. Restart the service on SDDC manager services command:
   • /opt/vmware/vcf/operationsmanager/scripts/cli/sddcmanager_restart_services.sh

Upon completion of these steps, the Image Management tab should appear again
