Issue/Introduction

1. vSphere Replication virtual machine-level metrics are missing after you upgrade VCF Operations to version 9.0.1.

2. You are unable to track RPO violations or other VM-specific vSphere Replication metrics.

3. The metrics are enabled in the VCF Operations policy, and the metric definition is visible under Integrations > Repository > vCenter > Metrics, but they do not appear when you browse to a replicated virtual machine in the UI.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation Operations 9.0.1

VMware Live Recovery - vSphere Replication 9.0.2.2

VMware Cloud Foundation Operations Management Pack for vSphere Replication 9.0.1.0.24960431

Cause

The installed version of VMware Live Recovery - vSphere Replication (9.0.2.2) is not compatible with the built-in VMware Cloud Foundation Operations Management Pack for vSphere Replication included with VCF Operations 9.0.1.

Resolution

Upgrade VMware Live Recovery - vSphere Replication to a compatible version.

The Product Interoperability Matrix shows that VCF Operations 9.0.1 is compatible with VMware Live Recovery - vSphere Replication versions 9.0.3 and 9.0.4.

1. Upgrade your VMware Live Recovery - vSphere Replication instance to version 9.0.3 or 9.0.4.

2. After the upgrade, confirm that the vSphere Replication metrics are now appearing on the virtual machine objects in the VCF Operations UI.

Workaround: N/A.
