How to Export and Import a Contract

Issue/Introduction

Introduction: 

The object of the technical document is to give you a hand of how to export or import a contract on the CA Business Service Insight Server. All so used to TrustPass the Contract from one environment that could be test to the production  

 

Environment:  

In order to make this work, you have to have in mind that the Contract that you need to import has to came from the same CA BSI environment version

 

Instructions: 

Export the Contract

In the case you need to export the Contract to from the CA BSI you will have to have these steps in mind:

1. Under the CA BSI GUI, go to :

     -> Administration -> Content Transfer -> Export

2. Under the Export option, you will have to mark the contract or the contracts that you need to export link in the example:

and then at the bottom of the screen you will have to fill in the "file name" where you will leave all the contact information like in the example:

Once you have entered the name of the file, you can press the Export button when you have all the Contract to export. This will generate the file that can take it time 

3. Under the directory where CA Business Service Insight was installed, you will find a directory named "Packages", under here you will find the file generated, like the example:  

    X:\Program Files (x86)\CA\Cloud Insight\Packages

 

Import the Contract 

The way to import the Contract exported please do the next steps:

1. Under the CA BSI Gui, go to :

     -> Administration -> Content Transfer -> Packages

 

2. Under the Packages option, you will have to choose the "Upload Package" button and a new window will apear. This new window will ask you where to get the file. Onces you put the file, you will have to put the button "Upload".

3. Under the CA BSI GUI, go to :

     -> Administration -> Content Transfer -> Import

 

4. Under the Import Option you will have to enter the Package that was uploaded under "File to import" and the select the option in case you get a On collision, after selected this you can press the button "Import"
