Oracle ORA-39083,ORA-00054, ORA-02449 Errors during migration

Issue/Introduction

Migrator logs show the following errors:

 

ORA-39083: Object type REF_CONSTRAINT:"PROTECTUPGRADE"."CONDITIONVIOLATION_FK2" failed to create with error:
ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified or timeout expired
 
ERROR     : ORA-02449: unique/primary keys in table referenced by foreign keys
 
ERROR     : ORA-01652: unable to extend temp segment by 128 in tablespace TEMP
ERROR     : ORA-20001: UpgradeSchema_Data_Migration.Data_Migration: User-Defined Exception
 

Cause

These errors were symptoms of not having a proper setting for the SGA and PGA for Oracle nor enough Temp table space.

In this case the customer needed to increase the SGA to 32 GB and PGA to 3 GB and set the Temp tablespace to 128GB.

Resolution

Work with the Oracle DBA to increase the Temp table space and SGA / PGA settings according to Large Enterprise Requirements
