Issue/Introduction

•  VMXNET3 adapter state changes (Up to Unavailable) within the guest OS can lead to cluster failover.

• Virtual Machine is running without any VMware Tools.

Cause

• The absence of the correct VMXNET3 driver (which is an integral part of VMware Tools) can lead to network adapter level problem

Resolution

• Install the VMware tool 

Install VMware Tools in VMware products
