Virtual Attributes No Longer Able to Be Used For Filtering

Issue/Introduction

When virtual attributes are created on the Data Provider=Team Allocation for use on a grid portlet,
a generic error is displayed.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. On object:Other Work, create an attribute of type=Number
2. On object:Team, create a virtual attribute corresponding to the attribute created above.
3. Create a grid portlet from the data provider=Team Allocations
4. Configure the grid layout to contain the attribute.
5. Configure the filter layout to contain the attribute.
6. For the 'Other Work' instances, set values for attribute on the created instances.
7. Filter for attribute values.

Expected: Filtering should work and return the instances matching the number.
Actual: The generic error appears:
System error. Contact System administrator.
