Unable to login to vCenter with a smart card.

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to login to vCenter with a smart card you get the following error. 

Environment

vCenter 8.x with smart card authentication configured. This issue is may occur more frequently if accessing vCenter through a jump box. 

Cause

This is a 3rd party issue. 

Resolution

Work with your vendor, or team on-site that handles smart cards
