SESCSP_ prefix is added to CSP Agent Name when registered with 6.10 DCS Manager

Issue/Introduction

This is part of CSP Agent to DCS Manager migration.

During CSP Agent registration with 6.10 DCS Manager, SESCSP_ prefix is added to CSP Agent Name:

Agent Name is an editable field during installation and customers often use custom naming convention to better identify their assets. 

Adding SESCSP_ prefix may break the ability to sort and identify Agents and may impact reporting.

SQL reporting queries based on Caption Name may also be affected.

DCS Manager 6.10.x

Cause

This is part of DCS 6.10 design to distinguish between CSP and DCS Agents.

Resolution

DCS Engineering Team released a HotFix on top of 6.10 and 6.10.1.

With the fix, the SESCSP_ prefix is no longer added to the Agent Name during registration. The Agent Type value has also been updated to CSP Native Agent to better reflect CSP Agents.
