Issue/Introduction

Aggregated costs for a payer account may not match the Cost History report when the dataset exceeds 1,000 rows in a FlexReport or chart preview.

Resolution

The issue may occur because you are viewing the FlexReport or the Chart preview. Both the FlexReport preview and Chart preview display a maximum of 1,000 rows. If your dataset exceeds this limit, these previews may not include all the data.

For example, in the screenshot below, the dataset contains 474,874 rows, but the chart view only displays data for the first 1,000 rows.

The UI explicitly indicates that the Preview and Chart Preview are limited to 1,000 rows. To see the complete dataset, the Report needs to be saved and then viewed. 

As shown in the screenshot below, when viewing the saved report, the chart includes the complete dataset, and the total UnblendedCost matches the Cost History report.
