Issue/Introduction

• After initiating the removal of a provider VDC, it remains in a pending state and does not appear to be progressing.
• Upon review of the task, it has the following status detail:
  
  blockingTask.pendingStatus

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x

Cause

The task is in a pending status awaiting review due to the configuration of blocking tasks.

Resolution

Blocking tasks are designed to suspend a task to permit an external process to evaluate the task and take any desired actions before the task is resumed or aborted. If this task should be completed, then it will need to be resumed, which can be performed using information from the following instructions:
