    C:\Program Files (x86)\Bit9\Parity Server\Reporter>ParityReporter.exe start

Environment

  • Carbon Black Application Control: 8.11.0 and higher

Cause

.NET Framework 4.8 may have failed to install during the upgrade or was remove from the environment separately.

Resolution

  1. Download and install the .NET Framework 4.8 Runtime installer.
  2. This may require you to close out some applications during the installation process. Follow the installers recommendation. The installation can take a few minutes before the progress bar starts.
  3. Upon installation completion, attempt to startup the Carbon Black App Control Reporter service using services.exe.
