VLCR email alerts defaults to the recipient email address as the alert sender in the email alerts wizard

Issue/Introduction

• The Email alert setting in VLCR UI has recipient and the sender email address sections.
• When the recipient is added in the UI the sender email address is automatically added with the same address.
• The email alert received will have FROM address as Recipient address. 
• The FROM address is not [email protected]
• Depending on the organization requirements these emails may be blocked.

Environment

VMware Live Cyber Recovery 7.27.x

Cause

It is a product limitation and the email alerts in the current release will require a sender email address and will default to recipient email address. 

Resolution

This is fixed in VMware Live Cyber Recovery version 7.28.x. Users will have option of selecting @broadcom.com domain for Sender address.
