Issue/Introduction

Actual costs and units for non-labor transactions are not populated in the New User Experience (MUX) Cost Plan when the Cost Plan is copied from the Classic UI. This occurs specifically on projects that exclusively use non-labor resources. While the actuals are visible in the Classic UI after the copy, they are absent in the MUX.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate to Classic UI
  2. Create a project and enable financially
  3. Create a Task on project
  4. Make sure the Project doesn't have any labor resources staffed
  5. Create Transaction entry for Non-labor resource on the above created project and task
  6. Executed Post to WIP job
  7. Created Cost plan in Classic UI manually
  8. Review the Cost Plan Details
  9. The unplanned virtual line item is visible in Classic UI and actual cost/units are available for the transaction period entered in Step5
  10. Make sure that the line item is available in New UI as well and the actual cost matches with Classic UI
  11. Copy the cost plan from Classic UI created in 7

Expected Result:
Actuals values are populated on copied Cost plan details in Classic and New UI

Actual Result:
Actuals are populated on copied cost plan only in Classic UI but not in New UI

Environment

All supported versions

Cause

Due to DE178511

Resolution

DE178511 is fixed in v16.4.1.

Additional Information

Workaround:

  • Copy Cost Plans directly from within the New User Experience (MUX)
  • If a Cost Plan has been copied from Classic UI, updating any time-scaled value (TSV) field on the affected Cost Plan line item in MUX will refresh the data and display the actuals.

Copy Cost Plan does not populate the Actual Cost values
