Missing ProductName or ServiceName Values for PAYG Subscriptions

Issue/Introduction

When reviewing FlexReports data, you might notice that the ProductName or ServiceName columns are blank for Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) subscriptions. This is expected behavior and not a data issue.

Cause

ProductName and ServiceName values are only populated for Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) subscriptions. PAYG subscriptions do not include these fields in their billing data export, which is why they appear empty in your reports.

Resolution

To reliably identify subscriptions across your FlexReports, use the SubscriptionId column. This field is consistently available for all subscription types, including PAYG and MCA, and is the most accurate identifier for mapping subscription-level data.
