Issue/Introduction

The "Preview (Show Chart)" feature in NX provides a quick way to visualize query output before running a full extraction. However, its row limits differ from those in the Classic version and are intended for preview purposes only.

Environment

• The NX preview extracts up to 100 rows of data.
• In comparison, the Classic view extracts up to 1,000 rows.
• The preview is designed as a limited subset and does not represent the complete data set or final export results.
• The previewed content cannot exceed the actual number of available rows in the data source.

Cause

Display Message

NX includes a message indicating this row limit. Currently, the message appears below the chart visualization.

Expected Behavior

When using the "Preview (Show Chart)" option:

• Only up to 100 rows are retrieved.

• Any analysis or chart generated reflects this limited subset.

• Full results can be obtained by running the complete extract operation.

Resolution

This behavior is working as designed. The 100-row limit ensures faster preview loading times and prevents unnecessary performance overhead. Users who need to view the entire result set should perform a full extract run instead of relying on the preview chart.
