Need details on SAM-PRES.ltdat file

Issue/Introduction

• What is SAM-PRES.ltdat file and is it safe to remove this file.

• What if I move it to other folder changing the permission of the file ? Will that impact ?

Smarts 24.x and above

Resolution

• .ltdat file is related to license telemetry and that is not supposed to be removed.

• Also, license telemetry is not an optional feature. It's needed to have the license usage stats. Hence it is advised to keep the data.

• The base Smarts path is chosen because product uninstallation is not intended to remove the file.
