"Pushing NSX depot(s) on Compute Manager failed with error: Set depot operation failed" error on NSX

Issue/Introduction

• NSX Cluster is prepared with vSphere Lifecycle manager (vLCM)
• Below error is seen on the NSX UI

Pushing NSX depot(s) on Compute Manager: <uuid> failed with error: Set depot operation failed. Retry Transport Node Collection at cluster. The cluster <Cluster-name> is not in sync. Click 'Resolve' to initiate sync between the NSX Manager and vLCM on vCenter.

• When remediating the Associated hosts in the Cluster from vLCm, below error will be seen.

NSX is not present in cluster desired state
NSX is already installed on the cluster

• Below logs will be seen under /var/log/proton/nsxapi.log of the NSX manager node.

Cause

The offline depot import aborted as there was another NSX depot containing the same component which had a newer release date already existed in the vCenter.

Resolution

As a workaround, perform a VUM-DB reset using Resetting the VMware Update Manager Database
