Issue/Introduction

  • You see the error in discovery info "SWFE-E-EGETNEXT-While getting next of OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.691.1.1.1.1.2,".

  • You have added below entry in the tpmgr-param.conf file and reloaded the OID but the error is still reflecting on the device message. Also restart of the IP domain doesn't help.

     GetBulkPattern-.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.1812 FALSE

Environment

Smarts IP_NETWORK_SUITE: V10.1.12.7

Cause

Problem with dynamic drivers.

Resolution

In the attached ic-cisco-find-context.asl code change is present to disable bulk explicitly for the impacted SysOID. PFB steps to implement the same:

1). Check if file already exists SM_HOME/local/rules/discovery/ic-cisco-find-context.asl. If so take a backup of the same.

2). Copy the uploaded ic-cisco-find-context.asl file to SM_HOME/local/rules/discovery/ and ensure ownership/permission provided to this file is same as other files in this folder.

3). Restart IP domain.

4). Discover the device.

NOTE : tpmgr-param.conf should have below value set.

GetBulkPattern-.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.1812 FALSE

Additional Information

Raise a case with Broadcom support if this issue is seen in other than Smarts IP V10.1.12.7.
