Local template on a subscribed catalog cannot be deleted in VMware Cloud Director

Issue/Introduction

• After subscribing to a catalog, a vApp template is uploaded to the local subscribed catalog instance instead of the source catalog.
• After adding the template locally to the subscribed catalog, the catalog is encountering failures and the local template cannot be removed.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x

Cause

The product is not designed to provide management of local items in a subscribed catalog. If a template is imported locally to a subscribed catalog from the subscriber side, the mechanisms to manage it are not enabled in the user interface.

Resolution

In order to correct this issue, remove the catalog subscription, which will remove all items associated with the catalog, and re-subscribe.
