Unexpectedly high memory consumption by VSE

Issue/Introduction

VSE JVM Memory is not getting released even though there is no load on the VSE component with no active testing against the virtual service deployed on the VSE.

Environment

10.7.2 and above.

Cause

Memory leak in VSE process.

Resolution

Memory leak was identified and a patch fix has been created.

Create a support ticket requesting the patch file mentioned below:

Steps to Apply the Patch on VSE Server(s)

- Stop VSE Service
- Place the patch file "patch_DE645685_10.7.2_GA.jar" at LISA_HOME/lib/patches folder
- Start VSE Service
- Observe the memory usage of VSE process under load and report back with your observations
