"NSX Manager was licensed with <NSX license>, which is not a valid license in this version of NSX" error message in NSX UI banner

Issue/Introduction

• The following error message seen in NSX UI in a banner:
  
  NSX Manager was licensed with <NSX license>, which is not a valid license in this version of NSX. To rectify this situation, please verify NSX Manager's valid license or VMware Cloud Foundation license within the next {<number of days>} days. NOTE: This banner will persist till the countdown expires even after addition of a valid license. Please check NSX Licensing UI to verify license validity.
  
  
  
  
• VCF/NSX may have been recently upgraded
• The <number of days> value starts at 90 days and counts down each day.

Environment

VCF 9.0

Cause

Product license keys from prior NSX releases are not supported in VCF 9.0.

Resolution

If a legacy/unsupported license key is still present, remove it from the NSX UI - System - Licenses page.

NOTE: The banner will persist until the countdown expires even after the addition of a valid license and removal of unsupported license keys.
