Issue/Introduction

Is there a hitachi probe template editor in Admin Console (AC) GuI? 

We need to apply configurations and metrics only to certain hitachi entities (for example only certain ASM logical disk type) but I don't see any filter either in the AC or IM configuration type.

• hitachi probe any version

Resolution

The probe provides  Monitoring Templates in IM Configuration  however, these auto-configurations are limited to a global activation only.

Currently, the probe does not offer a "filtered" method to apply templates only to specific set of discovered entities inside a Hitachi resource like for example, "only" your ASM Logical Disks. 

The templates and Auto-Configurations work as a global enablement actually activating the same metric across all entities that support a certain metric. 

 

For this reason, for your specific ASM logical disks, you will need to activate the metrics one by one. 

For this task it makes no difference if you do it via IM or Admin Console, given that if you do it one by one, you will not use the Auto-Confgurators that exist only in IM.
