Spectrum connector restarts frequently

Issue/Introduction

Issue:

Spectrum Connector installed on remote site restart frequently.

 

Error messages seen in log:

Connector is restarting due to critical error: MDR host <hostname> is unavailable.

 

Cause:

Spectrum Connector lost connection to Spectrum Server. 

 

Environment:

SOI 3.3, 4.0

 

Resolution:

Increase heartbeat timeout value from 90000 to 900000 message between the Spectrum connector and Spectrum server. Also verify that the following ports are available: 

– Port 14002 (SpectroSERVER) 

– Port 14004 (Location Server) 

– Port 14006 (CORBA Name Server) 

 

 The SpectroSERVER needs access to the following port on the Connector machine: 

– Port 14001 (Connector Server)
