Issue/Introduction

Question:

Is it possible to duplicate the productive CA Service Desk MDB in a cluster where it already exists a DataBase called MDB and rename it?

Environment:

All supported versions

Answer:

Unfortunately it is still not possible to rename the SQL Server database name from MDB. CA applications rely on this database name to remain consistent for proper operations and as such, changing the database name is not a supported task.

We currently don't have a date or either when will this be supported, we would recommend to post an idea in our communities site stressing out this so CA SD developer can take this in mind for future references.
