The SNMP configuration within Aria Suite Lifecycle is specifically designed and intended only for integration with Aria Networks Insight. It is not compatible for use with other Aria Suite products or general third-party discovery tools, such as ServiceNow. This limitation prevents Aria Suite Lifecycle's native SNMP from being utilized for broader appliance discovery or monitoring requirements.

The native SNMP configuration in Aria Suite Lifecycle is not suitable for general operating system traps or third-party appliance discovery. To achieve the goal of appliance discovery or monitoring via SNMP, you must explore the following alternative solutions or workarounds:

• Utilize Aria Operations / Aria Operations for Logs

  • Investigate setting up and configuring SNMP traps within Aria Operations to trigger specific alerts and definitions. This may involve leveraging a management pack within Aria Operations and Aria Operations for Logs.
