The NSX segment name does not match the segment ID

Issue/Introduction

• The NSX segment name is consistent with the port group name displayed in vCenter under the vDS.
• The Segment ID for the port group is inconsistent with the port group/segment name.

Cause

The Segment ID persists, retaining its initial value despite any subsequent renaming of the segment.

Resolution

The Segment ID is fixed at creation and does not update with name changes; this is expected behavior and has no production impact. To align the ID with the segment name, recreation of the segment is required.
