LCMVIDM71147 error code report when patch postgres cluster

Issue/Introduction

 

-Need to patch vIDM 3 nodes cluster according to KB 412021

-vRLCM report below error when patch postgres cluster:

Error Code: LCMVIDM71147
Failed to update Auth provider with VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle hostname.

-vIDM VIP portal not accessible due to NSX 502 Bad Gateway error

-vpostgres service not found in 2 out of 3 cluster nodes

Environment

VMware Identity Manager 3.3.x

VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18.x

Cause

The vIDM nodes are patched in incorrect order cause the cluster to stay in unexpected status

Resolution

Rollback both vIDM and vRLCM to early healthy snapshot and retry the vIDM patch

remember to patch cluster nodes in sequence of primary->secondary1->secondary2
