Cause

Hot Add transport mode is used in NFS environments.

Veeam's Backup proxies and transport modes: VMware backup best practices document indicate possible high stun times with this backup mode.

The VMs will experience the issues as quoted in VMs take two minutes to power on after a High Availability/Fault Domain Manager failover when NFS v3 storage is used

The vmx logs will indicate high stun times as indicated below.

/vmfs/volumes/<Datastore_Name>/<VM_Home>/vmware.log

YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss.zzz In(05) vcpu-0 xxxxxxxx-e-5f3b CPT: vm was stunned for 40020294 us
