Cannot delete an ORG from VMware Cloud Director

Issue/Introduction

• When attempting to remove an organization from VMware Cloud Director, errors similar to the following occur:
  
  [ ########-####-####-####-############ ] Could not execute JDBC batch update - Batch entry 0 /* Method: unknown */ /* Method: unknown */ /* delete com.vmware.vcloud.common.model.OrganizationMember */ delete from org_member where org_member_id=('########-####-####-####-############'::uuid) was aborted: ERROR: update or delete on table "org_member" violates foreign key constraint "fk_app_template2org_member" on table "app_template"  Detail: Key (org_member_id)=(########-####-####-####-############) is still referenced from table "app_template".  Call getNextException to see other errors in the batch.
  
  
• There are no catalog items or catalogs associated with this organization.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x

Cause

Even though there no longer appears to be a catalog or catalog items associated with this request, there is still an application template record associated with this organization and the foreign key constraint prevents removal of the org member in question.

Resolution

Database modifications may be required to resolve this issue and will require VMware Technical Support assistance. Please open a Support Request with VMware Technical Support and reference this KB article (417084) to remediate this behavior.
