Issue/Introduction

After two of the three control plane VMs in the Supervisor were redeployed, the following issues are observed with the VMs.

1. The vNIC for the workload network cannot be assigned.
2. The containerd and kubelet daemons are inactive.
3. The /etc/kubernetes directory is missing.

Cause

Cause for this issue is usually due to manual deletion of EAM agencies to trigger recreation of control plane VMs.

Resolution

Deleting an EAM agency will DELETE the supervisor control plane VM and a new one will be created. THIS IS NOT A VALID TROUBLESHOOTING METHOD (see https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?articleNumber=323407). Reach out to Support if you run into this situation. Recovery of Supervisor is not guaranteed.
