Upgrade Assesment Tool for Aria Operations shows 'The size of inbound folder is x.xG.'

Issue/Introduction

• While running the APUAT tool before upgrading Aria Operations to 8.18.4, during the step 'Checking /usr/lib/vmware-vcops/user/plugins/inbound size.' a warning similar to below is received;

  • The size of inbound folder is 1.3G.
    Make sure the available size of inbound directory is greater than 1.2 GB.

Aria Operations 8.18.4

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you must remove unsupported plugins prior to proceeding with the upgrade.

1. Navigate to the Aria Operations Primary node, using root credentials.
2. Change directory to '/usr/lib/vmware-vcops/user/plugins/inbound'

   • cd /usr/lib/vmware-vcops/user/plugins/inbound

3. Delete the JAR file and directory associated with the third-party plug-in.
4. Repeat the steps on each node in the cluster.
