Unable to Deploy Edge Nodes using OVA File

Issue/Introduction

When deploying NSX Edge nodes using an OVA or OVF file, the deployment process completes successfully, however, the Edge nodes do not appear in the NSX Manager inventory.

Environment

VMware NSX

Cause

The NSX Edge node was not properly registered or joined to the Management Plane during the deployment process.

Resolution

Follow the steps below to correctly deploy and register NSX Edge nodes using an OVA or OVF file:

1. Download the NSX Edge OVA/OVF File
2. Deploy the NSX Edge Node
3. Join the NSX Edge Node to the Management Plane
