REVMGR-20822:Investment is missing Location/Department data

Issue/Introduction

When creating a transaction against a project I am getting the following error: REVMGR-20822:Investment is missing Location/Department data.

I have checked the project financial settings are they are correct. The Department - Location combination is correct.

Other transactions are successfully created against the same project. What can be the reason of the error?

Cause

The error is misleading. Multiple rows exist for the same resource at the PAC_MNT_RESOURCES table

Resolution

Please confirm the following:

 

• Confirm Project Financial settings are correct in the Clarity UI
• Confirm the Resource Fianncial settings are correct in the Clarity UI
• Query the PAC_MNT_PROJECTS table to ensure project financial settings are correct
  • Select * from PAC_MNT_PROJECTS where PROJECT_CODE = 'PRxxxx'
• Query the PAC_MNT_RESOURCES table to ensure resource financial settings are correct
  • Select * PAC_MNT_RESOURCES from where RESOURCE_CODE = 'RESxxxx'

When querying the PAC_MNT_RESOURCES table we noticed there were multiple rows for the Resource used on the erroring transaction, when we should only have one row. Deleted the rows that were not needed.
