P2V Virtual machine Conversion from Hyper-V to vCenter Server fails at 97% with error "unable to reconfigure the destination virtual machine"

Issue/Introduction

• When using VMware vCenter Converter to convert a VM from Hyper-V to vCenter Server, this may fail at 97% with error "unable to reconfigure the destination virtual machine"
• You may see error like below in Converter UI: 

• You may see errors like below in converter worker logs which indicate connection/network errors:

Environment

VMware vCenter Convertor 9.0 

vCenter Server 8.0 

Cause

Antivirus installed on machine being converted is obstructing the final stages of conversion when reconfiguring at destination

Resolution

Remove the antivirus installed on the machine and re-attempt the conversion now
