Issue/Introduction

Performing a fresh Workload domain deployment fails with error:

Message: Failed to allocate IPs from networks with error :.

Remediation Message: Use supported network types for IP allocation to ESXi Hosts

Environment

SDDC Manager 5.2.x

Cause

Issue occurs due to the presence of a special character in the "freeips" section under 'Network' when verified through the API explorer from the SDDC Manager UI.

Resolution

• Since this is a fresh Workload domain, decommission all the hosts allocated with this network pool.
  Decommission Hosts
• Recreate a network pool with same configuration.
  
  • Delete a Network Pool
  • Create a Network Pool
• Commission the hosts.
