U11FRS-009 and U11FRS-004 messages occur after upgrade

Issue/Introduction

We have applied latest maintenance for CA 11 and after starting the CAL7 task,  the following error messages occur:

U11FRS-009 The Feature Registration common service is not installed
U11FRS-004 #REGPROD Function=Register   RC=0040 Reason=0004

What caused these abends and  how to fix it?

Resolution

The U11FRS messages can be ignored.   The Feature Registration Common Service is not installed on the system.  It is part of CCS, Common Components and Services and installed by your CAIRIM started task during the IPL process.  It appears that the CCS is at a lower level that doesn't have Feature Registration.   CA-11 will work fine without using the optional Feature Registration function.  We recommend looking at your CCS level since this has been out for a number of years.
