Issue/Introduction

Aria Suite Lifecycle fails to validate vCenter connection with error LCMCOMMON80015.

When attempting to validate a vCenter connection in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle, the operation fails. The UI displays the following error message:

Error Code: LCMCOMMON80015
Invalid details for VC data collection. Please enter correct hostname,username and password.

This prevents the successful addition or validation of the vCenter component.

Environment

 

  • VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle (VCF Enabled mode)

  • VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)

  • SDDC Manager

 

Cause

The root cause of this validation failure is an incorrect or outdated vCenter password stored within the Aria Suite Lifecycle password locker.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you must update the vCenter password in SDDC Password Manager.
