Issue/Introduction

  • The BGP neighbors are deleted from the NSX GUI.
  • These neighbors are not visible on the NSX GUI (Networking >Tier-0 Gateways > BGP > BGP Neighbors).
  • From the NSX Edge CLI, these deleted neighbors are still seen and showing in "Active" state.

Example:

edge(tier0_sr[#])> get bgp neighbor summary
BFD States: NC - Not configured, DC - Disconnected
DW - Down, IN - Init, UP - Up
BGP summary information for VRF default for address-family: ipv4Unicast
Router ID: 192.168.#.#  Local AS: 63###

  • Rolling Reboot of NSX Manager nodes or associated Edge nodes do not resolve the issue.
  • Stale alarms associated with these deleted BGP neighbors, such as "BGP Down", may still be seen in the NSX GUI.

Environment

VMware NSX

Cause

The deleted BGP neighbors remain stale in the BgpNeighborInternalConfig Corfu table.
