UPM unable to download patches in a Proxy environment

Issue/Introduction

One or more of the following symptoms may occur

1. Open any patch, regardless of patch status and go to the 'Files' link, every patch states 'No files are found for the selected patch' 
2. The download fails and the PMengine.log states - 'unexpected exception caught processing patch with pending download Adobe Patch. 
3. Files are not downloaded for the selected patch, except DMS scripts. 
4. In the DSM console the patch is created but without any files, however it keeps trying and creates numerous versions of the patch in the software library.

Environment

All supported versions of Client Automation

Resolution

On the Server running the pmengine process, create or update the file %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file to reflect "contentupdate.ca.com" in it.
