Introduction:

Discovery of Windows 2012 Servers.

This Technical Document will provide guidance on how to discover Windows 2012 Servers correctly, and in the correct classification, i.e. in a two dimensional visualisation map.

 

Instructions:      

For the Servers to be classified correctly, you will require Unicenter Network & Systems Management Release 11.2 Service Pack 2 Cumulative 1, plus associated published fixes; RO54735, RO54736, RO54737 and RO54738. All these fixes are required for Windows 2012 certification, and need to be installed.

Discovery of a Windows 2012 Server can then be performed via the DSCVRBE command using the argument:

'-23 WindowsServer_2012'

...to classify the Server correctly.
