CAUAJM_E_18408 Invalid connect string specified

Issue/Introduction

Startup of Autosys scheduler and application server produces following error messages

CAUAJM_E_18407 Failed to connect to Oracle server:
CAUAJM_E_18408 Invalid connect string specified.
CAUAJM_E_10649 Server  was not available during connection operation.

Environment

Autosys 12.x and 24.x

Cause

Blank specified before EventServer_1 parameter in $AUTOUSER/config.$AUTOSERV

Resolution

Edit file  $AUTOUSER/config.$AUTOSERV and check the following line

 EventServer_1=ORACLE_SVR:SCHEMA_OWNER,DBPORT,DBHOST

Check if there is no space (blank character) right before "EventServer_1".
The word "EventServer_1" needs to start in column 1
