Blanks spaces at the end of a line not displayed in AWI or exported to xml

Issue/Introduction

A blank added by mistake at the end of a line of a script in the process is not displayed in the AWI when displaying the process or when exporting the jobs to xml.
Nevertheless, when executed, this jobs will indeed consider this blank as a new parameter so a script printing the different parameters will not work correctly.

Expected behavior: blanks (spaces) at the end of the line should be displayed in AWI the same way as they are in the database or sent to the agent as JCL
Actual behavior: trailing spaces are inadvertently trimmed from the end of job lines before they are displayed in the AWI or exported as XML.

 

Environment

Automation Engine 24.x and 21.x

Resolution

Workaround:

Modify any line within the job script (e.g., by adding a character and then removing it) and then save the job.

This action will effectively remove any (previously unshown) trailing spaces from the stored job definition.

Solution:

Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.
